MEET LEE

As a 25-year resident of Etobicoke—Lakeshore, Lee and her husband are raising their two boys in the community they call home. She also serves as the area’s MPP and the Ontario Liberal critic for hospitals, homelessness, mental health, and addictions.

She believes politics is about people and trust. Her upbringing in small-town Southampton in Bruce County, along with the example set by her parents—a teacher and an engineer—instilled those values in her from an early age. Growing up, she was taught that if you believe in something, or if something isn’t right, you don’t stand by—you get in the game.

Competitive sports taught her the importance of teamwork and perseverance. She represented Team Canada on the National Women’s Rugby Team, where she learned how to compete hard and work toward a common goal.

She spent more than 25 years in healthcare working in teams and serving others.

She began on the front lines, caring for cancer patients at Princess Margaret Hospital, before going on to become President of St. Mary’s General Hospital and helping lead the hospital response in Waterloo-Wellington through the pandemic crisis.

LIKE RUGBY, POLITICS IS A TEAM SPORT.

"I got into politics because I could not stand by and watch the damage caused by Doug Ford Conservatives."

LEE FAIRCLOUGH

She believes life is harder for people today and that Ontarians feel the Conservatives are failing them.

While public healthcare and education are being undermined, costs are rising and people are falling further behind.

She believes Ontario can do better.

As she visits communities across the province, she sees a growing desire for change. Ontarians want a new kind of government—they want leaders they can trust, who will fight for them and for their future.

She wakes up every morning focused on making people’s lives better by addressing their priorities: affordable groceries and housing, excellent public healthcare, and an education system that puts students first.

She sees core provincial services as investments in children and in Ontario’s future—not costs on a spreadsheet. That means delivering the best results for taxpayers and being honest about how hard-earned tax dollars are spent.

Every moment needs the right leader.

She is running to lead the Ontario Liberal Party to build a strong Liberal movement across Ontario—and an Ontario that works for people. She will continue fighting for the essential services people depend on every day—services that are the cornerstone of economic success. If Ontarians meet this moment together, Ontario’s best days are still ahead.

It’s time to get to work.
